About Me

My name is Rebecca Ducharme and I have been in the field of early care and education for four years.  My journey in this field has been multifaceted and an adventure that continues to shape who I am today as a teacher.  I graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington in 2013 where I earned a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Psychology.  I have worked in center based care programs, in public Pre-k programs as a teacher's assistant, a Pre-K teacher at St Dom's and finally have landed here at RSU16 as a PreK teacher. This is my second year at ESS, and I am so excited to be working in an environment of dedicated and passionate educators and nurturers.
Outside of my professional life, I have an amazing husband, Rob, and an adorable little boy named Gerry. He loves to get into everything, play with the dog and snuggle with his Mom and Dad.  When I am not at work I enjoy exercising, crocheting, and spending time with my family and friends.

This is our dog Dixie! We rescued her in December of 2015. Throughout the school year Dixie becomes a very famous member of our classroom!

When Dixie isn't snoozing she loves to play fetch, hike and visit Doggy Daycare!
